Lately, I’ve spotted young people moving into apartment buildings (and my own building) in my neighborhood of Oakland, which is home to several universities. These young people always give a different vibe to the city. The city just seems to have more energy.
For the past two months, Saturday night karaoke at Nico’s in Little Italy has drawn relatively small crowds. I’m sure that’s about to change.
And with the Steelers playing exhibition football and with the Pirates still playing winning baseball, the next couple of months should give me plenty of content for this flash fiction blog.
