Hello, hello, hello, all you rock ‘n’ rollers!  Guy Hogan is my name and blogging is my game.  It’s supposed to be a mostly sunny day in The ‘Burgh today with a high around 50.  Well, I spent a restless night on the sofa tormented by thoughts of what in the world was I going to blog about today.  And when I finally dragged myself off the sofa this morning to do my deep breathing, flexibility and stretching exercises (karaoke at Nico’s in Little Italy Saturday night) and after taking my shower and dressing and then turning on the local 24/7 news station on the radio and sitting down at my workstation to check my email and my online news sources (Huffington Post and The Hill) and after checking my social media (Twitter and Tumblr) I still had no idea of what to blog about.  Then it hit me.

Why not blog about my recent adventures as an online broadcaster?  Why not indeed?

To make a long story short, I recently started listening to an online radio station out of Brooklyn in New York City.  And the broadcasting platform this station uses also allows other people to set up their own online radio stations.

Hum…

I thought here was an opportunity to do three things.

  • To extend my eclectic education
  • Broadcasting online would give me another way to promote The Gazette
  • My readers might find the subject of online broadcasting interesting

You know you can’t beat that with a stick!

So, gentle reader, without further ado.  I introduce to you PittsburghFlashRadio.  Once you’re on my broadcast page just click on “1 ShowReel Item” in the lower left of the page and put in your ear buds or do whatever you do to get audio from your computer and experience Gazette Talk Radio.  The broadcast begins about 25 seconds in.

Hail to Pitt!
