Hello, hello, hello, all you rock ‘n’ rollers! Guy Hogan is my name and blogging is my game. Yes, summer has definitely arrived in the City of Pittsburgh. Today there will be a mix of clouds and sunshine with a high around 80.
In 10 days I’ll be back on my regular beat in Little Italy; but during this down time I’m getting a lot of blogging done and I’m making good progress on the thick book about the French Revolution that I checked out of the public library several days ago.
I’m also reading a lot on the Internet about the presidential election.
I get my news from the radio and the Internet. The radio just gives me an overview. I depend on the Internet for a more in depth rendering of the news and of course the biggest news right now (well if you’re interested in politics) is the presidential election coming in November. I follow the presidential election by reading online publications like Salon, Slate, New York Times, Huffington Post, Politico, National Review, Washington Post, The Hill…
Yes, I do tilt to the left. I use to publish posts about politics; but you know what? I came to the decision that politics is not what the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette is about. People don’t visit The Gazette for the politics and they certainly don’t put any weight on my opinions about politics. Besides politics is divisive. So, The Gazette will continue its policy of being politically neutral and concentrate on what it does best, reporting on blogging, film, karaoke, short stories, television and the female nude.
Hail to Pitt!
