Hello, all you rock ‘n’ rollers! I’m sitting at my workstation, sipping on a can of Pabst Blue Ribbon beer (I have more beer in the refrigerator) and listening to a Pirates baseball game on the radio. It’s turned out to be a beautiful day in Pittsburgh, sunny and mild (high around 50). I just came back from Armand’s in Little Italy. I had a couple of cans of beer and I watched Liberty Avenue as I stood at the window and mouthed the lyrics of songs by The Doors to myself and very discretely worked on my Jim Morrison moves (there were only a couple of other customers down at the other end of the bar who were talking to the bartender and paying no attention to me) and I had a good time all by myself.
The Price is Right with Drew Carey was on my television…
Oh, I still plan to hangout at Armand’s even though I’ll be singing karaoke at Sonny’s Tavern. I just won’t hangout as much at Armand’s. I’ll hangout more at Sonny’s which is like three blocks from my apartment building and Nico’s where I use to sing karaoke the first Saturday of every month is several blocks further away. I plan to be at Sonny’s the first Sunday of every month for karaoke; but I’ll still hangout at Armand’s because I don’t want to lose touch with my barroom acquaintances at Armand’s. I’m trying to expand my social circle, not make it smaller.
And when I got back home I found the following promo from the good people at Mr. Skin in my inbox.
Hail to Pitt!
