I found out that I got more writing done if I didn’t have a television; but the radio seems to stimulate my writing. I guess it’s because television focuses on image and radio focuses on words.
I listen to a local all news station (and a sports station and of course stations that play music); but late at night the format changes to popular comedies, detective and drama programs from the 1930s, 1940s and the 1950s. Radio is spoken language brought to life with sound effects. As a writer, I can totally appreciate that.
I get great enjoyment from listening to Pittsburgh Pirates baseball on the radio. There will be a Pirates baseball game on the radio this afternoon. The team is playing another exhibition game in warm and sunny Florida. The Old Soldier will be tuned into all the action as the team tries to prove that last years winning and playoff season was not a fluke.
I can’t wait to publish my Lori Schafer special. Lori is the kind of writer of erotic flash fiction that I want to promote in this online magazine. Her stories deal with female sexuality; but she doesn’t forget that story is more important than the sex. And she’s a very talented writer.
As soon as I receive an email from PayPal telling me that Lori’s fee has cleared, I’ll have her special up in 24 hours. Her special will include three stories that were previously published here, a new story and an intimate interview about life, writing and sex.
You don’t want to miss this special; because the best erotic flash fiction is not only great entertainment, it is also art.
Explore the site. You will find everything from how to write erotica, crock pot cooking, karaoke as performance art, the best gangbang stories on the Internet to commentaries on homelessness and poisoning of the environment. Follow or sign up for your free subscription today.
This is the Old Soldier reporting for the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette, a blog of art, culture, creative writing, local interest and explicit sex.
