Another chilly (high around 50) and overcast (with the possibility of rain) day in Pittsburgh. It’s driving me crazy!
But I digress…
Hello, hello, hello, all you rock ‘n’ rollers! It’s your favorite blogger from The ‘Burgh with Pittsburgh’s only blog about blogging, fiction, film, television, karaoke and topless women. I’m hard at work to bring you the best online magazine of adult entertainment on the Internet. I’m talking about culture not just smut.
Last night I paid for a movie on YouTube. That was a first for me. I paid to watch the 1991 movie The Doors by Oliver Stone starring Val Kilmer. I saw the movie twice when it first came out and I loved it then (because I’ve always been obsessed with The Doors). Oh, I know that at least 30% of the movie is pure fantasy; but it’s a movie about a rock ‘n’ roll band and not a documentary or a history or a biopic. And everyone in the movie did a great job.
Especially, Val Kilmer as Jim Morrison.
The movie brings out what must have been the madness of the rise and fall of the band. The club scenes and the concert scenes are riveting.
The only thing I didn’t like was I had problems trying to watch the film (video) at full-screen. I watch a lot of free full-length films in the full-screen format on YouTube and this has never happened before. I finally had to watch The Doors in the small screen format; but even so I still got a kick out of watching the movie The Doors on the small screen.
Hail to Pitt!
This is Guy Hogan reporting for the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette.
PS I used my Visa card to pay to watch the film (video). It cost $2.99.
