Yes, there are only six more days of my downtime left before I’m back on my regular beat in Bloomfield (Little Italy) here in Pittsburgh. During my downtime for July I’ve done some spot cleaning of my apartment. I’ve continued to read the two books I checked out of the public library. I’ve done some quality blogging and I’ve tweaked The Gazette so that it will get at least 1,000 page views every day as soon as possible, hopefully before this summer is over. I think I’ve spent my downtime well.
Now with just six days left before I’m back on my regular beat, I’ll keep blogging and reading and cleaning and listening to sports and news on the radio and I’ll keep doing my deep breathing, flexibility and stretching exercises (karaoke at Sonny’s Tavern the first Sunday night of August).
Still, I can’t wait to taste that first cold beer at Armand’s the first day of next month.
Hail to Pitt!
