Hello hello hello, all you rock ‘n’ rollers out there! Welcome to today’s issue of the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette.
How’s everyone doing?
It may be an overcast, chilly (50s) day in The ‘Burgh today, but it’s still a great day for blogging.
The month of May is only a few days away. The big news for May is that I’ll be publishing the second erotic flash fiction story by Nicci Haydon…Wait a New York minute! I just had an epiphany like a character in a flash fiction story. Before I publish this post I’m going back into the archives and find the first story, “Shades Of Red”, by Nicci and feature it on the front page until I publish her new story next month. How’s that for promoting one of my contributors?
You know you can’t beat it with a stick!
Who says you can’t teach an old dog a new trick? I think I’m getting pretty good at this online publishing business.
But I digress…
I should be back on my beat in Little Italy Thursday or Friday, hanging out at Armand’s shooting the breeze and drinking beer and thinking deep thoughts and watching for women on Liberty Avenue who are wearing yoga pants and checking on the karaoke scene at Nico’s on Saturday nights.
Within the next 72 hours I will publish post #1,500 on this blog. I will continue in May to feature on the front page some of the posts from the archives that deal with everything from crock pot cooking to karaoke as performance art to how to write flash fiction to shopping (and saving money) at discount stores…The list of topics covered by the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette goes on and on and on.
This is not your grandfather’s girlie magazine. Although I’m old enough (baby boomer) to be a grandfather. Keep reading and writing that flash fiction. Explore the site. And visit often.
This is the Old Soldier reporting from Pittsburgh.
Guy Hogan is my name and flash fiction is my game.
Hail to Pitt!
