Hello, hello, hello, all you fans of my little girlie magazine!
Yes, the Pittsburgh area got around three to four inches of snow last night. And outside my windows I can see more snow flurries.
I did my deep breathing, stretching and flexibility exercises this morning in preparation for karaoke at Nico’s in Little Italy the first Saturday night in February. I know I’ll do The Doors (I may as well play to my strength), but I won’t decide on which songs and won’t begin to practice them until some time next week. One of the things that’s so cool about doing The Doors is that in the middle of any song I can do “spoken word” or “poetry” by Morrison.
You know you can’t beat that with a stick!
Well, last night as usual I ended up on the sofa with two pillows under my weary head, listening to the local 24/7 local sports talk show (93.7 FM The Fan) on the radio and watching YouTube. One of the movies I watched on YouTube was Coffy. Remember Coffy? Pam Grier was the star. Remember Pam Grier? This is what Wikipedia has to say about Coffy:
The film’s tagline in advertising was “They call her ‘Coffy’ and she’ll cream you!”[…
Well, that was Coffy. I didn’t put in my ear buds because I wanted to listen to the radio. So, I watched Coffy as if it was a silent film. It’s all good. That’s all that I have for you right now.
Catch you on the flip side.
This is Guy Hogan reporting for the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette.
Hail to Pitt!
Today in Pittsburgh the high will be around 25 with continued snow flurries.
