The Old Soldier is no social media expert, but I’m happy to announce that every time I add new content to this blog, links to the new content appear on my Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr accounts that the public can see. Along with the links, the first few sentences of each post appears on my Facebook and Tumblr accounts along with any accompanying photos. Just the title of the post appears on Twitter.
Which social media platform drives the most traffic to this blog? Twitter by far; but that’s because I’m far more active on Twitter than on the other two social media platforms. But social media is still a poor second to SEO (search engine optimization) when it comes to generating traffic.
And I can only give so much time to social media. I spend most of my time reading, brainstorming and surfing the web, trying to come up with ideas to blog about.

Keep reading and keep writing that erotic flash fiction.
Hello, all my fans of erotic flash fiction who live all over the world! Well, it turned out to be a beautiful spring day in Pittsburgh. I took a walk through Little Italy this morning and then took another walk down through the campus of the University of Pittsburgh this afternoon. As soon as I publish this I’m going for another walk down to Carnegie Mellon University. An Old Soldier has to keep on the march, especially when it’s warm and sunny outside.
Stop by again tomorrow. I feature a different erotic flash fiction story on the front page every day.
This is the Old Soldier reporting for the PittsburghFlashFiction, a new kind of girlie magazine.
