The Old Soldier has song and dance and the writing of erotica on his mind. This always happens as one month ends and another month begins. It means I’ll be back on my beat in Little Italy to report on the comings and goings of the commercial district on Liberty Avenue and on karaoke at Nico’s on Saturday nights. Nico’s is at the intersection of Peal and Friendship, one block off of Liberty Avenue.
Speaking of song and dance, I seem to have a new habit: watching video’s about The Doors on YouTube in the evenings. Last night I watched a documentary on Jim Morrison that included his father and sister. I also watched interviews with other members of the band.
I continue to read On the Road by Jack Kerouac and Riders on the Storm by John Densmore, the drummer of The Doors. My reading regimen gives me things to blog about and to think about. A writer never stops learning.
Hello hello hello, all my brother and sister readers and writers of erotica! The next few days in Pittsburgh will be overcast and rainy; but at least the highs will be in the 60s or so.
The format of the front page of the magazine seems to have settled into four featured posts and two free posts. The featured posts include one about The Doors, one about the East End Book Exchange which is on Liberty Avenue in Little Italy, one of my gangbang stories and a flash fiction erotica story by a contributor.
Right now the flash fiction erotica story “Night Shift” by Alexa Night is featured on the front page. The story is Alexa’s first published flash fiction erotica. Alexa lives in Pittsburgh. I can’t wait to read her next erotica submission.
Song and dance and erotica are just some of the joys of life. We here at the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction invite you to join our community of readers and writers who think that erotica can be great entertainment and art.
Follow or sign up for your free email subscription today. This is the Old Soldier reporting for the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction, an online magazine of local interest, culture and erotica as art and entertainment.
