Hello, hello, hello, and welcome to today’s issue of the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette, the city’s premiere online magazine of culture for adults only.
It always takes me a few days after the 10th of every month to get back into the routine of blogging and back into the grind of chasing page views. Even though I have a good shot at getting between 25,000 to 30,000 page views for August 2016, in my heart of hearts I always feel that the magazine could be doing better. How much better? I don’t see why this magazine can’t get between 75,000 and 100,000 page views every month. Last month this blog got 28, 389 page views.
Of course, if I increased the amount of content that I put up every day I would probably increase my page views; but since this is a one-person operation, content for the pure sake of content is not the smart way to run a magazine. The quality of the content will suffer.
Oh, well, I’ll soldier on to the bitter end. Now that I’m retired, blogging is what I do. It’s what I constantly work at to educate myself about: the ins and outs of blogging. And blogging is also my passion.
Hail to Pitt!
Today in Pittsburgh the high will be around 85, with a mix of clouds and sunshine and the possibility of scattered thunder showers throughout the day. This is Guy Hogan reporting from Pittsburgh. If you are not already a regular reader of my little girlie magazine, now would be a good time to bookmark it or to follow it or to take out a free email subscription today.
