Hello hello hello, fans of girlie magazines who live all over the world with a special hello to fans in Canada, the UK, Australia and New Zealand!
How’s everyone doing?
My default browser is AOL (I know it’s a dead-end browser) and this morning I clicked on the local weather report for Pittsburgh and guess what? It’s going to be humid and hot (80s) with thunder storms for the next seven days. What a bummer. But right now the sun is trying to break through the cloud cover beyond my windows.
I’ve assumed my favorite position (I’ll transcribe this to the blog later): flat on my back with two fat pillows under my weary head. I’m munchin’ on a Little Debbie pie, sipping milk, listening to the local 24/7 radio sports talk show (93.7 FM Balls to the Walls–I did not make that up) and scribbling in the writing tablet that I got from the dollar store across the street and that is now resting against my raised legs as I think deep thoughts on life and writing.
I’ve been blogging up a storm these past few days. I don’t know what’s gotten into me. I think my real life and my blogging persona (the Old Soldier) are finally melding together smoothly into a first-class blogger.
I recently made a major editorial decision about this blog. It use to be that if you signed up for the RSS-Posts feed or the email subscription list, when there was a new update, you only got a summation and you still had to come to the site to read the entire blog post. No longer.
Now you get the full monty, the entire blog post, pinups and all! You know you can’t beat that with a stick!
Well, I expect to get some fun money later this week which means that, thunder storms or no thunder storms, I’ll be prowling Little Italy, in order to bring you content that I hope will entertain or inform or inspire you.
This is the Old Soldier reporting from Pittsburgh.
