I made it off the sofa and out into the world today. It’s a beautiful day in Pittsburgh today, sunny and a high around 50. It’s actually balmy outside or as balmy as late November can be in Pittsburgh and 50 is balmy.
I strolled deeper into Oakland and returned The Sun Also Rises to the public library and then just strolled back home enjoying the bright sunshine and all the other folks who were out and about, too. It was quite a change from yesterday when all I really did was to rest flat on my back on the sofa with two pillows under my weary head, reading or listening to sports on the radio while watching silent films on my laptop that sat facing me on my workstation.
In other words, yesterday I reverted back to being a lazy bum.
But today that’s all done with. It’s a new work week. I have to blog and exercise and practice to get ready for karaoke Sunday night at Sonny’s and do all those things behind the scenes that a full-time professional blogger has to do if his or her blog is to be successful…
That’s doesn’t mean I won’t re-assume my favorite position flat on my back on the sofa with two pillows under my weary head. It does mean I will intensify my endeavor to draw something useful for this blog from all that time on my back on the sofa.
Hail to Pitt!
