The computer and the Internet have opened up opportunities for new writers that simply did not exist twenty years ago. The middle man was removed so that the writer could offer his or her work directly to the reader. Of course the catch was the writer had to do all the promotion for his or her own work. Unless the writer was a celebrity, most self-published writers were lucky to make any money at all from their work let alone a living.
Welcome to the brave new world of self-publication.
I’m in the same boat as you are. The Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette is a blog published by a writer for other writers. It is here to hopefully entertain, inform and inspire you. I’m pleased you’re visiting my blog and I hope you visit it often.
