It’s around 8:30 pm. I have 93.7 FM The Fan on the radio. The Pittsburgh Pirates are at the Milwaukee Brewers. The Brewers are in first place in the division. So, this is a very important series for the Pirates. It could decide whether or not the Pirates make the playoffs.
I strolled one more time through Little Italy today. Liberty Avenue was not blocked off to vehicular traffic. I guess my memory is playing tricks on me. I thought the avenue was always blocked off during Little Italy Days, but I guess not. Everyone seemed to be enjoying the festival. The festival is not just about food and arts and crafts. All kinds of businesses had booths up and down the avenue. The festival last two more days.
I may be able to make karaoke at Nico’s in Little Italy the last Saturday of this month. It all depends on if my pension check from Giant Eagle arrives by snail mail in time. So, I’ve started doing my breathing and stretching exercises. The exercises really work. When I sing I have great breath control. I’m never out of breath. That’s important. You have to sing from the diaphragm.
Well, the only light on in my apartment is in my living room/kitchenette, where my workstation is, a 75-watt bulb over the stove against the wall. Night has fallen. I’m going to post this and then assume my favorite position (flat on my back on the sofa with two pillows under my weary head) and listen to the ballgame.
See everyone tomorrow.
