Even though the sky is overcast today, it’s around 55 degrees outside in The ‘Burgh. It feels like spring.
I marched into Little Italy, enjoying the spring-like weather.
It was early afternoon when I got to Armand’s Bar. I still had some of the unexpected fun money from yesterday in my pocket. So, I got a sixteen-ounce can of beer and a bag of peanuts and I watched Law and Order (Special Victims Unit) on the television at my end of the bar as I gazed out the window at Liberty Avenue. Several of the regulars sat at the bar.
I thought about life and death and the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette. The magazine was really coming along. It was averaging between 400 and 500 visitors and around 2,400 pageviews every day now. It had definitely taken on an identity. It was evolving into something original. I was sure of it.
I finished sipping my beer and munching my peanuts and I got a 40-ounce bottle of beer to take home with me. I was anxious to get home, to put the whole chicken that I bought two days ago in the crock pot and to get back to working on the magazine and promoting it on Twitter.
