Hello, hello, hello, welcome to my blog of culture for adults only! This is Guy Hogan reporting from Pittsburgh.
Well, my mood matches the weather: overcast. Yes, The ‘Burgh will get more clouds than sunshine today (according to all the news outlets, but they’ve been wrong before) with a high around 60 and the possibility of rain.
What a bummer. I need sunshine!
Why does my mood match the sucky weather here in Pittsburgh?
This version of the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette went online February 2014. That month The Gazette averaged 40 page views every day. During the next 25 months my average daily page views for every month kept going up (for the most part) until The Gazette averaged 948 page views every day for April 2016.
You know you can’t beat that with a stick!
I thought my short-term goal of at least 1,000 page views every day was just around the corner. Well, here it is the middle of May 2016 and I have watched my page views slip from a high of 948 every day to 910 every day.
Either this decline in daily page views is just temporary (it’s happened before) or I better start doing something differently. But it’s no time for panic. It is time for watchful waiting.
In the meantime I’m going to keep doing what I do: to try to put out the best online magazine of culture for adults only that I can publish.
Hail to Pitt!
