Hello, hello, hello, all you rock ‘n’ rollers! Welcome to today’s edition of Pittsburgh’s premiere online magazine of culture for adults only.
I grew up with Playboy Magazine and Penthouse and Hustler. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would edit and publish a “girlie” magazine; but here I am overseeing an online publication that deals with blogging, film, karaoke, short stories, television and the female nude. It’s a great way for me to spend my retirement. And if it wasn’t for the Internet, the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette would not be possible.
The book I checked out from the public library yesterday looks like a good one. It’s The Internet Of Us by Michael Patrick Lynch. In the Preface the author writes about how the Internet is changing the way we know things and that this change is changing how we view ourselves and the world around us. And that no matter how much data the Internet makes instantly available to us, data does not equal wisdom.
The book is written in a breezy, easy to understand style and I hope it will give me insights about the Internet that will help to make me a wiser person and a wiser blogger.

Today in Pittsburgh there will be a mix of clouds and sunshine with the possibility of scattered thunder showers and a high around 75.
