Hello, all my fans from all over the world with a special hello to all my fans in Japan! The Old Soldier salutes you! I think karaoke was invented in Japan. Right? You can’t beat that with a stick! I’ll be at Nico’s in Little Italy for karaoke Saturday night.
But I digress…
I’ll also be covering the Pittsburgh Great Race for the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette. The race begins at 7:00 a.m. Sunday and it goes through 15 neighborhoods. Little Italy is one of the neighborhoods. The local media says there will be 40,000 runners in the race. Our race has got to be one of the major marathons in the nation. And it goes right down Liberty Avenue in Little Italy. I’ll be mixing with the crowd and watching the race from my favorite bar stool at Armand’s.
Of course, I’m not going get up at seven in the morning to watch some race (although I’ll probably be at work on this blog that early). I’ll wait until Armand’s opens which will probably be around eleven in the morning.
Keep reading and keep writing that flash fiction.
This is the Old Soldier reporting from Pittsburgh.
Hail to Pitt!
