There are some great documentaries on YouTube about Andy Warhol. He grew up near the University of Pittsburgh and in the summer I often walk to the campus and through Schenley Park and then down Dawson Street to stand in front of his old home for a few moments to reflect on art and life and death.
His life and his art have had a great impact on the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette. I’m sure Andy would probably dismiss my little girlie magazine as a low-brow, unglamorous publication with artistic pretensions.
But that’s okay.
I’m retired and now I’m a full-time blogger. Which means for the first time in my life I’m finally a full-time artist.
I know Andy would understand that.
This is the Old Soldier reporting for Pittsburgh’s #1 magazine of sex as art and entertainment.
PS A flash fiction writer is someone who can write short on long subjects.
