Some writer’s can’t write fast enough to get their ideas down on paper or up on a computer screen. I’m not one of those writers. If you’re like me, it can be a real struggle to come up with good writing ideas. So, what do we do for inspiration?
I really look forward to my strolls through Little Italy on a day like today in The ‘Burgh, hot and sunny, even if I don’t have any fun money for a few beers at Armand’s. I won’t have any fun money until later this month.
So, I strolled through Little Italy observing all the activity: joggers, bicyclists, dog walkers, women in yoga pants and the steady flow of vehicular traffic.
I gazed at all the different store fronts, clear and solid in the bright morning sunshine.
I bumped into an old friend, a former champion body builder (we writers know all kinds of people) and we caught up on the latest news. It seems that once you reach a certain age, the travails of ageing are always part of the conversation.
I bought a couple of 99-cent bags of cashews and strolled back home munching on cashews while observing all the sights. I was eager to get back to my workstation. Now I had something to blog about.
