The high is supposed to be around 46 degrees in Pittsburgh today. It’s still overcast, but I’ll take it with the sun breaking through the clouds every so often. A little while ago I made a run to Little Italy to pick up some ground beef and an onion for the spaghetti sauce I plan to make tomorrow. I stopped at Armand’s for a draft beer and a 12-pack to go.
I shot the breeze with a couple of the regulars and watched the comings and goings on Liberty Avenue.
Tonight is karaoke at Nico’s in Little Italy. The Old Soldier can’t wait.
Yesterday, I finally ordered my new (refurbished) computer from Best Buy. It runs a Windows 7 program which should really help with the publication of this magazine. The computer I use now is a Windows XP which I think is probably the very first Windows. Yesterday, I also re-subscribed to BrokeAmateurs to see if the site had put up any new gangbang videos in the past two months; but the site for the most part just keeps regurgitating its old videos. So, at the end of the month I’ll drop my subscription for the last time. It’s time for me to move on.
Today I accepted the erotic flash fiction of L.B. Paris, a new writer to the magazine. I plan to publish L.B.’s story in the May issue of the PFFG.
And later this month I’ll publish another story by the talented Australian writer Heather Kinnane and I’ll present a special on Lori Schafer that will include a new story, her first interview and all of her previously published stories.
Well, that’s today’s round up. Now the Old Soldier is going to fix something to eat, finish his laundry, relax, maybe read some Edgar Allan Poe and then shower and shave his face and his head for karaoke tonight.
Keep reading and keep writing that erotic flash fiction.
Explore the site. You’ll find everything from how to write flash fiction, crock pot cooking, karaoke as performance art, gangbang stories to commentaries on homelessness and poisoning the environment.
This is the Old Soldier for the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette, a blog of art, erotic short stories, culture, creative writing, local interest and sex.
