The Old Soldier has some sad news for you.
Hello, everyone. It’s going to be a warm (83), sunny day in Pittsburgh today. The Old Soldier finally broke down and got a delicious fish sandwich at Armand’s in Little Italy yesterday afternoon. After eating as much of the sandwich as I could (Armand’s fish sandwiches are huge) and after washing the sandwich down with three large glasses of beer, I was feeling pretty good. I had the rest of the sandwich wrapped to take home.
Well, today is Saturday. And that means karaoke tonight at Nico’s in Little Italy. But recently I found out that two other bars in Little Italy (Del’s and the Pleasure Bar) no longer have karaoke. I sang karaoke at Del’s for years and I sang at the Pleasure Bar a few times, too. I guess there is not enough of a karaoke crowd to support karaoke at four bars in Little Italy. As far as I know there are now only two karaoke bars in Little Italy now. There use to be five or six.
