Hello, hello, hello, everybody! Welcome to the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette, my blog of culture for adults only. Guy Hogan is my name and blogging is my game.
I know there is no point in complaining about the weather. Today in The ‘Burgh the high will be around 55 with a mix of clouds and sunshine and a 30% chance of rain.
So, I’m going to publish this blog post and take the last of my fun money for May and stroll into Little Italy and have a 16 0z. can of Past Blue Ribbon beer at Armand’s and then buy a six-pack of 16 oz. Past to go and then walk (bus service sucks on the weekend) back to my shabby, small but comfortable apartment and I will assume my favorite position (flat on my back on the sofa with two pillows under my weary head) and I’ll listen to Pirates baseball (the team just can’t seem to beat the division leading Cubs) on the radio while drinking my beer and watching porn (silent) on my computer (watching silent porn-I use ear buds-while listening to the radio is my new thing) as I dream dreams that no mortal ever dared to dream before…
PS Last night I drank beer and listened to a lot of songs by The Doors on YouTube as I gear up for karaoke in Little Italy (Nico’s and Sonny’s Tavern) next month.
Enough about my life as a retired baby boomer. Here’s Angie Hayward reporting for Naked News.
Hail to Pitt!
