Hello, hello, hello, all you movie fans all over the world! Welcome to Pittsburgh’s #1 magazine of erotic fiction and movie reviews.
It’s Guy Hogan here, your friendly girlie magazine editor/publisher. I’m quietly working behind the scenes, tweaking my little girlie magazine. It’s not easy to come up with content that will entertain or inform or inspire you. Except for blogging and karaoke, I think I live a rather mundane life. So, I have to search about for interesting content; but since this blog is about writing fiction (and I write fiction), I read a lot about fiction or I read a lot of the fiction (and read about the lives) of my favorite authors of fiction.
Edgar Allan Poe is near the top of the list.
I don’t write stories of the macabre; but Poe was more than just a writer, a brilliant and original writer of tales and poetry of the macabre. He first came to the notice of the reading public as a literary critic while he was still in his early 20s (he just did live to be 40). He had a national reputation as a literary critic at a time (1830s) when print magazines were in their infancy as the first true mass media. He was a well-known and respected essayists; and he was an editor who greatly increased the circulation of every magazine he edited (something I can appreciate) until he had to leave each magazine for one reason or another (usually because he couldn’t get along with the publisher which is something I don’t have to worry about because I’m the editor and the publisher). So, I can learn a great deal from my hero of the macabre. Yesterday, I checked out The Annotated Poe, Edited by Kevin J. Hayes from the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh. It is a large, handsome book published this year. Along with the other three books I checked out and working on this blog, I have plenty to keep me happy until I’m back on my beat in Little Italy later this month.
But I digress…
I checked my Mr. Skin account a little while ago and found a new video in my account. The good people at Mr. Skin are real jokers. The official name of the video is Top 5 Hair Pulling Scenes when there are really only 3 scenes (oh, I know they do this to entice you to take out a subscription); but I guarantee you’ll be happy that I’m sharing these 3 scenes with you.
This is Guy Hogan reporting for the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette.
