Welcome welcome welcome! I’m scribbling the text of this post in my notebook at 10:00 a.m. while flat on my back on the sofa with two pillows under my weary head and with classical music low on the radio. What a gorgeous day it is in the city today. It’s sunny outside and the high will be around 85. I’ve just come back from a stroll around the neighborhood. It’s on days like today that I really appreciate being retired, especially since I’ll have fun money in my pocket tomorrow which means I’ll be on my regular beat in Little Italy tomorrow. I’ll stop at both Armand’s and Sonny’s Tavern for a few beers and to socialize. And then It’s karaoke at Sonny’s the first Sunday night of August. Yes, life is good.

Now I’m going to get back to the novels The Sun Also Rises by Hemingway and Women by Charles Bukowski that I checked out of the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh at the beginning of this month and leave you with today’s Naked News video.
This is Guy Hogan reporting from North Oakland in the City of Pittsburgh.
