Hello, hello, hello, all you rock ‘n’ rollers! Guy Hogan is my name and blogging is my game. I sit at my workstation trying to come up with something to blog about. I do have some parameters to guide me. I should try to entertain or inform or inspire. I should stay focused on blogging or karaoke or movies or sexy stories or topless women.
This blog post is about blogging. It has photos of a topless woman.
In March 2015 this blog got 2,123 visitors and 4,927 page views from 81 published posts. In January 2016 this blog got 6,813 visitors and 19,550 page views from 42 published posts.
How do I interpret these numbers? What do they tell me about The Gazette and its readership?
The Gazette is definitely a niche blog (a girlie magazine). And I think it is finding its audience. I think its potential for growth is vast. The Gazette is not just about blogging and karaoke and movies and sexy stories and topless women. It is also a blog about writing that is published by a writer for other writers. It is a Pittsburgh-centric blog with an international readership. The Gazette reports on actual places: the University of Pittsburgh and Armand’s and Nico’s in Bloomfield (Little Italy). These places are recognizable to thousands of Pittsburghers. I know of no other publication with this eclectic blend of topics.
And because of all of these things I think the magazine’s readership will continue to grow. I thank all of you for visiting my little girlie magazine. This is blog post #1,976.
This is Guy Hogan reporting for the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette.
Hail to Pitt!
It is a lovely day in the City of Pittsburgh today, sunny with a high around 48.
PS The Gazette is averaging 230 visitors and 724 page views every day for February 2016 so far.
