When I woke up this morning around 5:00 a.m. and looked out one of my living room/kitchenette windows (there are two large windows in my living room/kitchenette and each faces in a different direction because I have a corner apartment in the back of the building…whatever), I saw a dusting of snow on the backyards of my neighbors.
Winter 2015 has arrived in The ‘Burgh…
Hello, hello, hello, all you rock ‘n’ rollers! Today in The ‘Burgh there will be a mix of clouds and sunshine and the high will only be around 34. It’s on days like today that I truly appreciate two things: that I’m retired and that my scruffy little apartment has radiator heat even if I have to occasionally adjust the two main radiators in my living room/kitchenette throughout the day, a small price to pay for plenty of heat.
What adventures in blogging will we share today?
I’ve decided to keep the featured posts stuck to the front page at around 60 instead of 70. I don’t know why (no doubt my subconscious mind is at work here), but with 70 the front page feels congested to me. I really like the mix of topics on the front page: karaoke, how to write flash fiction, Little Italy, short stories, porn, Naked News videos, Mr. Skin videos, commentaries, an interview, nude pinups, The Doors, celebrities, how to save money shopping at a dollar store…I believe the word I’m looking for is “eclectic”. My little girlie magazine is an eclectic mix of commentaries, culture, movie reviews, sexy stories and topless women.
If you haven’t done so all ready, let me encourage you to bookmark the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette or to take out a free email subscription today.
This is Guy Hogan reporting from Pittsburgh.
Hail to Pitt!
PS Now for my deep breathing and stretching exercises (it’s still dark outside). I wonder if Nico’s in Little Italy will have karaoke the first Saturday night in January. The first Saturday in January is the day after New Year’s Day. In a few days I’ll give Nico’s a phone call and find out.
