Why do women seem to be better at writing erotica than men are at writing erotica? I’m no expert, but it sure seems that way to me.
Years ago, when this publication became a paying market for erotica, men would send me stories of rape. I’m not making this up. Or the stories a lot of male writers submitted would be so focused on the sex that there was no story there. And the women in the stories were just interchangeable props. No doubt there is a market for this kind of writing, but I wanted to publish erotica.
Why do women seem to have a better understanding of erotica?
I have published men who write great erotica, but as a rule men don’t seem to be interested in writing erotica; at least not the kind of erotica that women love to read. While women seem to love to write erotica that other women want to read.
I don’t know why women write better erotica, but you’ll find some great erotica by both men and women on this site. Go to Categories in the sidebar and scroll down to “Erotic And Other Flash Fiction by Guest Writers” and enjoy.
Hello, all my brother and sister readers and writers of erotica. This is the Old Soldier reporting for duty. Even though the high will be around 70 today in Pittsburgh, we are going to get some heavy downpours of rain. That’s okay. The Old Soldier has some puttering to do around the apartment. I won’t bore you with the details.
Explore the site. This magazine is published for adults who want a different kind of reading experience. Follow or sign up for your free email subscription today.
