A flash fiction writer must trust his or her imagination. What do I mean by this?
Hello, my brother and sister bloggers, poets, readers and writers from all over the world! This is the Old Soldier reporting from Pittsburgh. The airways in Pittsburgh are filled with talk about how much the Steelers stink. But more about the Steelers later.
Flash fiction makes great demands on the imagination of a writer. First off, a writer must come up with a writing idea that will work within the format of the flash fiction story.
But imagination doesn’t work in a vacuum. A writer’s imagination is informed my the writer’s life experiences and the writer’s writing skills. Still, it is the writer’s imagination that creates storyline, characters, description, dialogue, exposition and so on…
A flash fiction writer is not writing history. A flash fiction writer is not a documentarian. To make a long explanation short, a flash fiction writer writes about what he or she knows and then makes the rest of it up.
So, trust your imagination. You have nothing to lose but the chains on your creativity. You have a flash fiction story to gain.
I’m looking for well-written erotic flash fiction to publish. I want this publication to be known for its erotic flash fiction. This is a paying market. Please read and follow the submissions guidelines. This is a magazine of writing, culture and sex.
Will The Steelers Go 0-5?
What a mess. The radio sports show that I listen to is full of talk about how bad the Steelers are. The team plays the New York Jets Sunday at 1:pm EST. The consensus is there is a real chance of the Steelers being 0-5 after Sunday. The defense has not gotten a turn over in four games and the offense has turned the ball over several times. This team needs a win.
