There is good news for writers who are just starting out on the journey toward publication. The Internet has opened up opportunities for publication by beginners that simply did not exist twenty years ago. The PittsburghFlashFiction did not exist twenty years ago.
But don’t make the mistake of thinking that you just have to hit the send button to get published. No publication, especially a paying market, wants to publish a poorly written short story. If you want to have success as a short story writer, you still have to study your genre. You still have to seek out publications that publish the kinds of stories you like to write. You still have to keep growing as a writer.
If your genre is erotic flash fiction, I encourage you to become a regular reader of the PittsburghFlashFiction, a different kind of online girlie magazine, because this publication is an excellent source for beginners who want to write erotic flash fiction.
This is the Old Soldier reporting for Pittsburgh’s #1 magazine of erotica.
