Yes, there’s karaoke tonight at Nico’s in Little Italy. I think most of the college students (there are several universities and two campuses of the local community college in the city) are on summer break now. So, it will be interesting to see if Nico’s will get a crowd tonight. The college students love karaoke at Nico’s and they travel in packs.
I just came back from the dollar store across the street. I always feel good when I shop at the dollar store because I always save money. I bought three items: a package of five disposable razors for $1.00, anti-persperant for $1.90 and a big two liter plastic bottle of Pepsi Wild Cherry for $1.50.
You know you can’t beat that with a stick!
Well, I’m going to post this, work on my Twitter account for a New York minute and then I’m going to stroll into Little Italy. Armand’s should be opening soon. If Armand’s isn’t open, I’ll just stroll around Little Italy and groove on the good vibrations until Armand’s does open. At Armand’s I’ll have a couple of beers and eat some peanuts and shoot the breeze and think deep thoughts about life and writing as I gaze on Liberty Avenue.
It’s a beautiful day in the City of Pittsburgh, sunny and the high will be in the 70s. Perfect yoga pants weather. I may be old, but I’m not dead yet.
Hail to Pitt!
